why we do it.
Handibath was founded by Joe Nickel, who has spent over three decades working in construction. The idea came from a personal place, when Joe’s mother began facing mobility challenges, he saw how difficult everyday spaces like bathrooms could become.
Wanting to create better solutions for families facing the same situation, Joe started Handibath to focus on accessible, thoughtfully designed bathrooms that improve safety without sacrificing style. Today, the mission remains the same: help people feel safe and comfortable in their own homes.
